Hi guys it’s Bill!
It’s been a pretty busy summer since our last stay here in
the U.S.! We
performed at tons of festivals all over Europe but now we are back
in
the States and the first thing I have to say is: THANK YOU so much
for
all your support these last few days. Being nominated at the MTV
VMAs
was really unbelievable for us! Your votes made this happen and
we’re
totally blown away – it’s sooo exciting!
But let’s have a look at what has happened so far in America:
We had a
great start in NYC where we spent most of our first week at MTV's
TRL,
which was pretty cool.
Then, on Thursday night we had the kick off gig for our
American
concert run in New Jersey. The whole concert was wicked and we had
an
awesome time with all the fans!
After the New Jersey show we boarded our tour bus to head to
Montreal,
Canada where we performed at a festival and then it was already
time to
come back to the U.S.!
Actually, right now we are on our way to Cleveland and we’ll
be
spending all of August touring in the States so make sure to check
our
concert dates. We hope to see all of you guys at one of our
shows!
Oh, the other three guys just told me to say “Hi” from

Hey les gars c'est Bill!
Celà a été un
été tres occupé depuis notre dernier
séjour ici aux EU.
Nous
avons fait beaucoup de Festival partout en Europe mais maintenant
nous
somme de retour aux EU et la premiére chose que je dois dire
est MERCI
BEAUCOUP pour votre soutien ces derniers jours. (ref aux MTV donc voilà pout toutes ces connes qui
croyent qu'ils vont les remercier ELLES).
Etre
nomié aux MTV VMA était vraiment incroyable pour
nous, vos votes l'ont
fait et nous sommes totallement envolé, c'est vraiment tres
exitant.
Mais
regardons ce qui est arrivé jusqu'ici en Amérique :
Nous avions un
excellent depart a NYC ou nous avons passé la plupart de nos
premiéres
semaines à TRL MTV,ce qui été assez
cool.
Puis le jeudi soir nous avons eu le coup
d'envoi de notre concert Americain dans le New
Jersey.
L'ensemble du concert était
mauvais et nous avons eu un temps formidable avec les
fans.
Apres
le concert au New Jersey nous sommes montés dans notre
TourBus
direction Montreal (Canada), ou nous avons joué a un
festival et
ensuite c'était déjà le temps de retourner aux
EU.
Actuellement,
nous somme sur le chemin pour Cleveland et nous passerons tout le
mois
d'août a faire du tourisme dans les Etas Unis assurez vous
donc de
vérifier toutes nos dates de concerts.
Nous espérons voir chacun d'entre
vous à un de nos concerts.

Tom gets ready for the Cleveland show.
Welcome everyone to “Tom’s blog”!
Yes, we are finally back on tour! We are travelling from city to
city
on our bus, meeting so many of our awesome fans and have had
some
wicked shows so far. Since it’s our first real tour in the
States and
Canada there has seriously been a lot in store for us. So far
we
visited New York, New Jersey, Montreal and Cleveland. Let me tell
you,
each of the shows we played so far has been really special in
it’s own
way. And we are sooo excited to be nominated at the MTV VMAs for
“Best
Pop Video” and “Best New Artist” thanks to all
our fans!
The kick off for our concert run in New Jersey went
surprisingly well, which worries me a little. Usually during the
first
show something goes wrong but this time everything was so smooth!
Well,
obviously Georg missed some notes but that happens all the time
(lol!).
On our way to Montreal it looked like our smooth run would come to
an
end...we had to wait at the Canadian border for ages since there
was a
Greyhound bus ahead of us and the officers searched every little
bit of
it – they even checked all the clothes the people brought
with them in
their suitcases. Luckily when it was our turn, the officers took
it
easy – they let us pass without taking our bus apart.
Security checks
and border controls are definitely not my thing… I just
don’t have the
very best experience with them!
In Montreal (to be precise, in Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu) we
performed at an awesome festival with about twenty thousand people.
The
weather was great and throughout the whole day all kinds of
different
hot-air balloons rose to the sky. The coolest one of them looked
like
the head of Darth Vader and I would have loved to be on board that
one!
But we stayed on the ground and performed a show, which was great
– all
the fans sang along to each of the songs with us…just
amazing!
After the show we had a quick stopover at the hotel where we took
a
shower (yes, Georg did too) and then it was time to get on the tour
bus
to travel overnight to Cleveland. On the bus we played video games.
We
played a guitar playing challenge and obviously I beat all the
other
guys – what a surprise!
After that I went to sleep and woke up the next day in
Cleveland where it was really sunny…at least in the morning.
Pretty
much the rest of the day it rained so we spent most of the day (it
was
an off day) watching DVDs. Gustav also had a little excursion to
Lake
Erie and when he came back he was soaking wet - not because he
jumped
in the lake but because it started to rain so hard!
Let me tell you guys, it’s pretty exciting to be on tour
in
North America – so many new things to explore. It’s
great to be here
and I’m looking forward to seeing YOU at one of the concerts
soon. Thanks for all your support at all the concerts so far and
also at the
MTV VMAs where you all made it possible for us to be
nominated
TWICE....that’s just unbelievable. Please keep on voting for
us as
“Best New Artist”

Oui,
on est de nouveau en tournée! On voyage de ville en ville

tournée aux
States et au Canada, il y a sérieusement eu beaucoup de ?
pour nous
(J'ai pas compris le sens de "a lot in store". Jusqu'ici, on a
visité
New York, New Jersey, Montréal et Cleveland. Laissez-moi
vous dire,
chaque concert qu'on a joué jusqu'à maintenant a
été vraiment spécial
dans sa propre façon. Et on est trooop excités
d'être nominés aux MTV
VMAs dans les catégories “Best Pop Video” et
“Best New Artist” merci à
tous nos fans !
Le coup d'envoi pour notre concert au New Jersey
s'est étonnament bien passé, ce qui m'a un peu
inquiété. D'habitude,
pendant le premier concert il y a quelque chose qui ne va pas
mais
cette fois tout était lisse (?) ! Bref, évidemment,
Georg a oublié
quelques notes mais ça arrive tout le temps (lol!). Sur le
chemin de
Montréal, il semble que les bonnes choses ont pris fin... On
a dû
attendre à la frontière canadienne pendant longtemps
puisqu'il y avait
un bus devant nous et les officiers ont fouillé partout
– ils ont même
pris tous les habits que les gens avaient pris avec eux dans
leurs
valises. Heureusement, quand c'était notre tour, les
officiers l'ont
fait simplement – ils nous ont laissé passer sans
prendre notre bus à
part. Les contrôles de sécurité et les
contrôles de frontière ne sont
vraiment pas mon truc... Je n'ai pas vraiment eu la meilleure
expérience avec eux ! A Montréal (pour être
précis, à
Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, on a joué à un super
festival avec près de 20
000 personnes. Le temps était superbe et pendant la
journée entière,
toutes sortes de mongolfières sont montées au ciel.
La plus cool
ressemblait à la tête de Dark Vador et j'aurai trop
aimé être dans
celle-là ! Mais on est restés au sol et on a fait le
show, qui était
génial - tous les fans chantaient chaque chansons avec
nous...impressionnant !
Après le concert, on a fait une escale
rapide à l'hôtel où on a pris une douche (oui,
Georg aussi) et ensuite
il était temps de rejoindre le tourbus pour voyager toute la
nuit
jusque Cleveland. Dans le bus on a joué à des jeux
vidéo. On a joué à
un jeu de défi de guitare et évidemment, j'ai battu
les autres gars -
quelle surprise ! Après que j'ai été dormir et
que je me suis réveillé
le jour d'après à Cleveland où il faisait
vraiment beau...du moins au
matin. Tout le reste de la journée il a plu donc on a
passé la plupart
de la journée (c'était un jour de repos) à
regarder des DVD. Gustav a
fait une petite excursion au Lake Erie (un lac) et quand il est
revenu
il était tremplé - non pas parce qu'il a sauté
dans le lac mais parce
qu'il a commencé à pleuvoir très fort !
Laissez-moi vous dire, c'est
vraiment excitant d'être en tournée en Amérique
du Nord - plein de
nouvelles choses à explorer. C'est génial
d'être ici et je suis pressé
de te voir TOI à un de nos concerts bientôt.

Bill's Tour Blog - Part 2
Bill ponders life on the road
Hi everyone!
Today we had a day off in Chicago and it was gorgeous. But
let’s start
from the beginning – at the Detroit show and the Oakland
signing
session at Hot Topic. Well, the show in Detroit was awesome since
the
venue there was really beautiful and the fans were just
incredible…we
couldn’t ask for anything better! the day after the show we
departed on our tour bus for Oakland where we
met our fans in one of the Hot Topic stores in a mall. The
employees at
the store were at least as astounded as we at how many fans came
out to
the signing – it was huge! To me these signing sessions are
always something very special because
we get to meet the fans face-to-face and hear so many of their
stories,
they tell us what moves them and also share their feelings. This
is
truly inspirational and I get so many ideas for our new songs from
that
– thanks so much for all of that! after the in-store we
headed towards Chicago. Georg and Tom talked
pretty much the whole way about the fans…like who was the
sweetest girl
or whose number they’d love to have – such dreamers
they are sometimes!
A highlight on the drive to Chicago was a stop at one of the
supermarkets! The bus dropped us right in front of the entrance and
I
have to tell you: I love these gigantic supermarkets – they
just have
everything you want, including my favourite sweets, all the fruit
you

had to scan myself at a station where I also had to pay…but

Hotel TV soon! Shortly thereafter we finally arrived in Chicago
where we had a day
off! As usual we slept in really late but I also wanted to explore
the
city, which is why we got up particularly early - at 3pm. Gustav
had
already gone out long before and Georg refused to get up so I had
to
bug Tom until he finally said he would join me to check out the
city!
Downtown Chicago was gorgeous – the sun was shining and it
had this
summer flair that put everyone in a great mood! Chicago as a city
seems
just perfect – it was a mix of these huge buildings like you
see in NYC
and the summer flair you experience in L.A., which is basically
a
perfect mix! Tom and I grabbed a coffee and pretty much explored
the
city for the rest of the day – Tom was like a tourist the
whole time
since he took pictures of everything. At the end of the day we
visited
a cool restaurant on the beach and enjoyed the sunset while
having
dinner…absolutely WICKED day!!! That's it for
now…

Salut tout le monde!
Aujourd'hui on a eu une journée de repos à Chicago et
c'était génial. Mais commençons par le
début au concert de Detroit et la séance de
dédicace Oakland à Hot Topic. Ok, le concert à
Detroit était super puisque le lieu était vraiment
beau et les fans étaient juste incroyables..on ne pouvait
pas demander mieux ! Le jour après le concert, on est partis
dans notre tourbus pour Oakland où on a rencontré nos
fans dans l'un des magasins Hot Topic dans un centre commercial.
Les employés du magasin étaient aussi
étonnés que nous de voir combien de fans sont venus
pour la dédicace - c'était énorme! Pour moi,
ces séances de dédicaces sont toujours quelque chose
de très spécial parce qu'on rencontre les fans face
à face et on entend leurs histoires, ils nous disent ce qui
les a fait se déplacer et ils partagent aussi leurs
sentiments. C'est vraiment inspirant et j'ai beaucoup
d'idées pour nos nouvelles chansons grâce à
ça - merci beaucoup pour tout ça ! Après le
"in-store" ??, on s'est dirigés vers Chicago. Georg et Tom
ont parlé sur toute la route des fans...comme qui
était la plus jolie fille ou quel numéro ils
aimeraient avoir - que des rêveurs parfois ! Le meilleur
moment sur la route de Chicago était un arrêt à
l'un des supermarchés ! Le bus nous a déposé
devant l'entrée et je dois vous dire que : J'adore ces
gigantesques supermarchés - ils ont tout ce que vous voulez,
mes bonbons préférés, tous les fruits dont tu
peux rêver et même des volières -
sérieusement, ils portent des volières...dingue! En
plus de ça, ils n'avaient même pas de caissier - tout
ce que j'ai acheté j'ai dû parcourir une autre station
où j'ai dû aussi payer (désolée, j'ai
pas trop compris le "scan myself"), mais bientôt vous aurez
tous les scoops à propos de cette aventure au
supermarché sur Tokio Hotel TV ! Un peu près nous
sommes finalement arrivés à Chicago où on a eu
un jour de repos! Comme d'habitude, on a dormi vraiment tard mais
je voulais aussi explorer la ville, ce pourquoi on s'est
réveillés particulièrement tôt -
à 15h. Gustav était déjà parti et Georg
refusait de se lever donc j'ai dû "to bug" ? Tom
jusqu'à ce qu'il me dise finalement qu'il me rejoindrait
pour visiter la ville ! "Downtown" ? Chicago était
magnifique - le soleil brillait et il y avait cet air
d'été qui met tout le monde de bonne humeur ! Chicago
en tant que ville était juste parfait - c'était un
mélange de tous ces bâtiments géants comme tu
en vois à New York et l'air d'été que
t'éprouves à Los Angeles, ce qui est essentiellement
un mélange parfait ! Tom et moi ont pris un café et
on a beaucoup exploré la ville le restant de la
journée - Tom était comme un touriste tout le temps
puisqu'il prenait des photos de tout. A la fin de la journée
on a visité un restaurant plutôt cool sur la plage et
on a profité du coucher de soleil pendant qu'on
mangeait...une journée absolument grandiose ! C'est tout
pour le moment...
